Longhill Excavating was established in 1983 by the Minor Family. The original home office and family home are located right off Longhill Road in Williamsburg VA, hence the name. Three brothers, John, Jim and Steve, worked to service the community’s excavation needs. Through the years, Longhill Excavating has maintained a great reputation by continually striving to extend the family feel and workmanship expected on every single jobsite.
In 2014, Steve’s son Matt, who has worked with the company since he was old enough to dig, purchased the company and since taking over has included additional services. His ongoing education in new technology helps ensure Longhill is as up to date as possible, and well versed on making the appropriate decisions for each job or repair.
